My best experience was to be here in California.

Within four months I did everything I wanted to do in my whole life. My whole experience here at FLS was just wonderful.

By: Renaud, Belgium

I get to travel a lot while I am here, and had the chance to visit various amazing places in the US like the Las Vegas, the Hoover dam, Los Angeles and Hawaii.

It was my dream since I was a little girl and this year was my chance, so I am very lucky to be able to do that while I am here. With FLS I got to see as well Seaworld, San Diego, go to a Lakers basketball game…. As well every holiday we do a theme party like Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas at school so we get to know better the American traditions. All this moments are unforgettable and I will always remember my experiences at FLS. It was the best moments of my life!!

I’ve been at FLS for five months and I had a wonderful time.

I really like my teachers and my classes. Thank you guys for everything, thank you for sharing this little part of my life with me! I will keep you in my heart forever! Thank you, thank you, thank you x 7000000000. My classes helped me to improve my English and especially my literature class with Juan. My teachers were awesome! And very interesting people.  Each one has his own style to teach but everyone was very good and I loved my TOEFL class and teacher.

The best thing I could notice in FLS is the interesting style of the professor with the classes.

They are even excited in the classes like the students. I’ve been here for about 2 weeks and so far I am happy to have chosen Citrus College to study English. What I like in FLS too is the ‘staff assistance’, they are always ready to help and always are polite.

In a short time I improved so much.

Now I have been at FLS three months and I am improving more; this is very positive for myself because before I felt powerless for I couldn’t speak English, but now I can defend myself in English.

I have enjoyed getting to know people from other countries.

I have had the opportunity to know another cultures and different points of view about several topics. For example, I really enjoy my TOEFL class because I can evaluate my skills. This is a good compliment with my advanced core class where I interact with less people and the style of the class is different.

I am also very happy and feel very comfortable with my homestay family. The fact of sharing my time with another student with whom I can only communicate in English has been the biggest opportunity to learn. With my host family, I have learned not only English, but also places and the value of family in America.

FLS has definitely helped my English.

I’ve seen a great improvement in my TOEFL score. Before I entered the TOEFL class, I took the Slang classes, which I really enjoyed. When I came here, I couldn’t speak very much at all. My vocabulary was so low and I had so much trouble understanding when other people spoke to me. Now, I’m not afraid of talking with Americans and I’m very comfortable speaking with everyone.

The quality of teachers is good.

[They] explained very kindly and clearly. And I like the choice of textbooks.

Korea

The most important reason to learn English in FLS is conversation with native speakers.

I can positively participate in class because I frequently have a one-to-one conversation with a teacher or another student.

I learned that pronunciation is really important.

I realized that it was difficult not only to speak English but also to teach something. When I taught them and they repeated my words, I was happy! I enjoyed spending time with American children!

Since I entered FLS, I have never regretted my decision because the classes offered by FLS are all fantastic.

I really learn a lot of useful vocabulary and grammar in my core class. My listening and speaking abilities have also improved a lot.
