Basketball Camp
Lock Haven University
Lock Haven, Pennsylvania

Since basketball originated in America in the 1800’s, it has experienced explosive growth. This fast-paced sport is now popular around the world, as the fame of international stars Yao Ming and Pau Gasol shows!

Our three-week program at FLS Lock Haven University combines daily basketball practice and English lessons with other international students. Students are coached by university staff, including the accomplished LHU men’s basketball coach, winner of the 2003 PSAC Western Division Coach of the Year award. Each afternoon you’ll practice layups, jump shots, and individual and team defensive concepts. Local students will join our program at selected points, allowing you to meet Americans while sharpening your game.

An excursion to Philadelphia, home of the 76ers and superstar Andre Iguodala, is also included! In addition to famous historical sights such as Independence Hall, Philadelphia offers great shopping and sightseeing! You’ll also visit Hershey Park, filled with exciting rides and home to America’s most famous chocolate company!
