We are seeking qualified teachers for positions at elementary schools in the United Arab Emirates.

Candidates must possess proficiency in English equivalent to a native speaker and either a) a BA or BS degree and a teaching certificate or credential or b) a bachelor’s degree in Education. American and Canadian citizens may apply.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Two years of teaching experience
• Familiarity with Arabic language and Arabic culture
• Experience working in a multi-cultural environment

Starting dates: August 15, 2009. Please note these are two year contract positions.

Candidates will need to travel at their own expense to an interview location for second round interview. Probable interview locations include New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Toronto, Vancouver and Ontario.

Compensation Package Includes:

• Salary equivalent to approximately $3000 - 4100 USD per month (AED 11,000 – 15,000) depending on experience
• Medical insurance
• Housing accommodation and furniture allowance provided
• Paid vacation and holidays
• End of contract bonus
• Paid airfare to UAE upon hire and paid return ticket upon completion of contract

Position Duties:

• 35 contact hours per week
• 25 – 30 students per class
• Classes will be of students aged 5-12
• Girls and boys taught in separate schools
• Two year contracts
